Brand Ambassador Pop-up Guidelines & Responsibilities

Last updated 3/3/2023

Treeworks Brand Ambassadors extend our mission by conducting fun and educational product walkthroughs for the purpose of positive brand representation, as well as providing thorough product education for consumers and dispensary staff.

Things to cover during your popup:

  1. Store Audit
    • Check for Treeworks displays with a wood display piece, product packaging, and print material. If available, provide budtenders with Treeworks merch.
    • Review the store’s menu for correct product images and descriptions to note for weekly reports. Pop-up scheduling should align with recent deliveries to ensure SKUs are available for purchase by the consumer during pop-ups.
    • Collect inventory counts to share with sales teams (not all stores will comply).
  2. Strong Brand Representation
    • Ensure all Treeworks displays are visible and tidy, load stores with printed material, and let customers and dispensary staff know about the latest Treeworks products featured in that store.
    •  Please wear Treeworks merch for pop-ups.
  3. Budtender Education
    • Engage with dispensary staff so they can learn more about the Treeworks brand, products and updates. This includes conducting thorough product walkthroughs and providing in-depth knowledge of all the benefits which Treeworks products offer.

Responsibilities:

  1. Pop-up Materials
    • Table, product packaging, poster frames, print material [counter talkers, stickers, QR codes], uninfused samples, available budtender merch.
    • Keep track of your materials and reach out to your supervisors if you need more.
  2. Weekly Report and Plan
    • Email your supervisors weekly reports and plans including key notes from your pop-ups. This will include how well you connected with consumers and budtenders, status of display and menu audits, and print material distribution.
    • We encourage you to keep notes of your experiences. This is both good and bad! We want to know how we can help you, as well as considering public feedback. Try keeping written notes during your pop-ups for live thoughts, questions and feedback.
    • Create a plan at the beginning of each week to lay out your pop-up visits and goals.

Important Notes:

Parking

Looking into what the parking details are for each pop-up before driving there can be helpful. Depending on the area of the pop-up, there is not always parking. Getting on the phone with a dispensary agent to ask questions about parking is a good idea prior to your pop-up.

Equipment

When you park, having your equipment ready is crucial, it will help you feel confident walking into the store. If you need help, there are always people willing and able to help you, but generally you should be able to get your things inside in 1-2 trips.

Setup

  1. Always make sure to arrive in a timely manner. You will either be shown where to set up, or be allowed to have more of a choice. If given the option, choose a place where you can catch people before their purchase, in a place where they can’t miss you.
  2. When it is slow, your main priority is to connect with Budtenders/Sales Associates. Your goal is to educate them, but also make them love Treeworks as a brand. You can do this through asking if they have tried our products before, asking them what they know about our products, or asking if they will come visit the pop-up table one at a time to do a product walkthrough.
  3. You will be given all the information necessary to educate the people selling our products. Being mentally prepared to deal with people who do not want to talk to you is smart. Generally, people will want to see what you have going on.
