Drop-In SOP for Retail Partners

SYSTEM OF OPERATIONS
“Drop-Ins” are unscheduled, impromptu visits to dispensary partners. This Drop In SOP is to ensure Treeworks brand ambassadors and field marketing representatives hit key points when conducting drop ins with retail partners. This maintains brand relevance and may be conducted during pop-up days at locations within a 10-15 mile proximity to your popup location.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
- Each Drop In will be different and you won’t be able to hit every point each time. This SOP is to offer certain topics to cover depending on the situation.
- Upon each Drop In, be cognizant of whether or not it’s a “good time” for an impromptu visit. If it’s too busy for you to make a true impact, leave a note and/or business card at the door.
DROP-IN PROCEDURE
- Make friendly conversation to connect with budtenders and management.
- Classic pop-up style, just having a good time and saying hello. Ask what’s new and happening in the shop, or build friendships with staff members. Just making an appearance and having a positive experience with a Treeworks representative gives Treeworks a good association.
- Ask about business/product movement.
- If they do not carry some of our new products, give them a low-pressure pitch about how successful and well-made our new SKUs are. Too much pressure on a drop in is probably not ideal.
- If some SKUs aren’t moving as quickly as others, provide honest selling tips on how to help move them along. Budtender education for the Treeworks product line is a vital part of retailer sales.
- If they express interest in product pricing/placing an ordering, direct them to the partner portal and have sales follow up promptly.
- Give a casual pitch about the most recent Treeworks products or news.
- This can be the most practical intention for stopping by. Let any staff members or passerby customers know a nugget of information about a new and successful product
- If there’s downtime, tell budtenders to check out the new Treeworks website to easily learn more about products and updates. This allows them to have a visual association with Treeworks on their own time.
- Ask if there are new hires who could benefit from a training session.
- Inquire about new hires and ask about how much time has passed since their last training.
- Offer training from our sales team and ensure that sales is informed and connected with MOD using LeafLink, or our CRM.
- Display/marketing materials.
- Observe in-store display and ensure it is the best it can be
- Observe online menu assets for Treeworks Products
- Ask if there is anything we can provide for the retailer to be more successful.
- Indicate in store marketing needs of the dispensary partner using upcoming orders onthe sales forecast. SOP: Distribution of Display Items to Dispensary Partners
- For online menu updates, connect MOD with Digital Marketing Strategist/Sales Assistant
- Leave a peace offering.
Treeworks stickers, merch or print materials may be left with a staff member lead or at check-in.
